Hi, any info on how to get rid of tiny bumps on the nose? I'm a 34 year old male who after seeing 2 derms says to just use metrogel. Metrogel doesn't appear to cut it with me. Anyone heard of "Sulfacet-R?" Or something else? Thanks for listening. LANCE. lauen17280@aol.com

Reply From bbarrows@bcn.net : I have been, over four years, every day, and lots of yogurt. Won't help rosacea, but is good for me. Something else works to control rosacea and if you are interested in knowing how to control rosacea click here.

Reply From Lois McGuire: According to the list of foods to avoid, isn't yogurt near the top of that list? Better to be safe than ugly.

Date: Sat.30 Jan 1999
Reply from bbarrows@bcn.net: Depends on who makes the list of foods to avoid. I have tried in the past to avoid what the NRS says to avoid and still developed rosacea symptoms. Plain yogurt doesn't seem to cause rosacea symptoms in me now that I have discovered what can control it.

Subject: My mom's experience with Rosacea
Hello,

I do not know you and this is not an advertisement. My mom, who lives in Alabama, asked me to write to someone about the subject of Rosacea and her experience with it. She says that she has been virtually cured though taking something for another reason. I will briefly describe this below.

My mom had Rosacea and started taking a juice-type formula that was developed by a her Ph.D. son-in-law in Texas to help enhance the immune system. (He is involved in research in this area and is somewhat well-known for his work in this field.) The items in this formula are all natural. It turns out that after taking this for few months she was was greatly improved. She was quite impressed and told me about it this morning. In our discussion that followed, we thought it would be appropriate to let someone in this field know about these results.

So, I do not know where we go from here but I thought that someone may want to test further and/or contact my mom and get some more details. She said that she would be glad to talk to someone about this.

I will not give you my mom's number now, but if you are interested, I would be glad to do so. She is retired from the alcohol and drug treatment and counseling field and is a very astute woman. She does not get excited about things very often, but is about this and its potential to help others. She
does not have a computer and would have to talk by phone.

Please let me know if you have an interest. It would be best to reach me at
the following email address: radams7373@aol.com.

Thank you.

Jim, I am interested in what your mother's experience was. I was only diagnosed a few days ago & became alarmed when I read the Rx brochure for Metrocream. I am a believer, of sorts, of natural medicine & have read that the real cause is due to an internal fungus. Oil of Oregano & Oregamax was recommended to curb the fungus & thus, hopefully, the Rosacea. Since I have had many fungus infections in my finger & toenails, I see some validity in this. Let me know what you think. Thank you, Marilyn

Reply from bbarrows@bcn.net: Dear Judy, I have a page that explains what you need to do to receive information about how to control rosacea without purchasing products or taking prescription medication. You can see this page at:method.html

This method of treatment involves controlling rosacea symptoms, and has proved effective for me, is simple, yet difficult for anyone who is not disciplined. I am offering a service, not a product, which is a one time only fee.

If you want to control rosacea with products, see my web page on rosacea for information: rosacea.html

I have the tiny blood vessels showing through my skin on my cheeks and nose but no blemishes are any other symptoms. Did anyone else have just this when it first began? I'm very worried about it getting worse. Thanks, Lynn

To whom it may concern: Here is a hint. What I discovered is so simple, it is avoiding something we all eat and is the catylist for rosacea. You can figure it out for yourself, or you can receive what I have discovered for $25. It has worked for me and I am sure of it. There is no scientific study on this, but you can try it yourself and see if it works for you. I would be interested in what happens. You might not like what I have discovered because it involves something you probably won't like to quit eating. That is all I have discovered. Your dermatologist will tell you to avoid certain foods. And you still get rosacea. The National Rosacea Society tells you to avoid certain foods and you still get rosacea. That is because the dermatologist and the NRS doesn't tell you what I have discovered. I can give you a break, since you don't have a lot of money. It is information well worth it if it works, don't you agree?-- you can check out my homepage and read my resumé for my background. By fasting until your rosacea clears up, and introducing foods in a careful way, you can discover what it is. Or you can find out what I know it is for $25. This is not a hype. I know it works for me. -- Brady Barrows

Dear PM10481: I think you are right, I should lower this. Some friend of mine said I should charge $50 instead of the Five bucks I originally started with. Maybe ten? You don't think twice at giving a dermatologist his $50. You know how much Metrogel costs, and you pay it without any reservations. I am rethinking my price for this, but the fact is it works for me. I will give you this free advice. You can figure out what I discovered by going on a complete fast, only drink water. After you rosacea clears up, which it will, then introduce food and drink systematically until you figure out what is causing your rosacea. There is something you are eating and drinking that inflames the rosacea and makes it break out. Or you can keep eating what is encouraging the rosacea and just keep taking tetracycline and Metrogel to control it.

[Effective March 1, 1999 the method.html was reduced to $10]

It was nice of you to answer me I really didn't expect it. I actually haven't figured out what has caused my Rosacea. I don't blush as most people with Rosacea tend to do. I do have a tendancy to get really high fevers though, which I suspect as being at least partially rersponsible. My insurance pays for everything but I have been told that the creams are very expensive by friends who have to pay for their own. I appreciate your advice, it was kind of you to send it. I will consider it. I am confused now as to the price of your program, which I thought said $50.00 not $5.00. I tend to be sceptical about doing business with individuals on the internet. So many people are just out to rip someone off today. Actually I am sure your advice is sound, because my husband has asthma and he has had to completely change his diet in order to have any quality of life at all. He had enough of traditional medicine, they were literally killing him, so he tried a holistic Doctor and he is actually helping him. There is so much modern science just doesn't know about the human body, and how to heal it not just mask the symptoms. Thank you again. Pat Mead

Reply from bbarrows@bcn.net:
Dear Mrs. Mead: I changed my price, effective 3/1/99 because of your email to $10. I will see if I get people to respond to that price. $50 was a bit too much I think. If $10 is too much, I will lower it to Five bucks. What I avoid to control rosacea is very simple, but something most people don't want to give up. You can figure it out if you are really careful of what foods and drinks you introduce after completely fasting until your rosacea clears. But I can tell you for $10. Your choice. Please don't change what you are doing on account of me. If you feel that you really have something good that can help people then stick to your guns. All of the pain that a person goes through to find a way to make their body well is worth something. My Rosacea is under perfect control at the moment, so I don't feel that I need any thing additional, at this time. But, I wish you success and I would be interested in seeing comments from those that have tried your plan and how they feel it works.

Hello! I read your homepage and as a Rosacea sufferer it find it a shame that you charge for some "secret" treatment for this bothersome affliction.I have tried Metrogel, vitamins--tinctures and even had laser pulse dye on my face. I SHARE all the ups and downs with as many people as I can and even send in my experiences to the Rosacea foundation so that it may perhaps help others. I don't understand why you keep something like this a "secret". Reading your homepage makes me feel that this may be a hoax. It really is a shame that you are trying to make money off of people this way especially when you have been through this yourself. Sincerely, [name withheld]

Reply from: bbarrows@bcn.net
Dear [name withheld], I don't mind telling you for free what I discovered. You seem to be so concerned about charging for information, yet you pay an internet service provider money to get the information on my page. You don't mind paying a dermatologist money for treatment and a prescription. You pay for Metrogel, vitamins and tinctures, yet object to paying me some money because it is a 'shame.' What I discovered is no secret. It is on the National Rosacea Society web site, but no one pays any attention to it. Besides most people will find it too difficult to apply my treatment. Anyway, see the attached file. If it works for you, tell me. That would be a nice thank you. -- Brady

{Note, If you are reading the above reply I sent to [name withheld], and think I will send you the free treatment, think again. I was moved by Brian's email to do that. I will be much more motivated to send it to you if you send me $10! Besides doing business on the internet is such a new novelty that everyone is trying to figure it out.]

Dear Mr. Barrows,
After spending some time looking over your website, I finally decided to try your "treatment". You should be receiving $10 in the mail from me in a day or so (I mailed it on 3/4). I sincerely hope your discovery works for me. Though I don't have a severe case of rosacea, it has been disconcerting to me nontheless. I am 38 now and have had it since I was in my late teens. Though many things can trigger it, stress or excitement are the most common triggers for me. Years of frequent blushing have left me with a few enlarged veins on my face. Probably more noticable to me than to anyone else. My skin has always been thin and sensitive but even more so as I get older. I tried the Rosacea-Ltd product and it helped somewhat, but it left my skin extremely dry. I finally quit using it. It just didn't seem right to put salt and sulfur on my face. And like you, I've tried natural skin care products. While they are high quality products, they did very little for my rosacea.

As far as charging for this info, I can't say I blame you. Though I did think $50 was a little too high. I think $10-$20 is reasonable. I think a lot of people are hesitant to pay $50 as many of them have already paid who knows how much for traditional treatments. And many of them are justifiably afraid of internet fraud (of which I myself was a victim recently). But I see nothing wrong with using the Internet as a tool when you have a legitimate product or service to sell, like you. I look forward to hearing from you. I have had rosacea for 5 years now and I am only a 28 year-old woman. Nothing I found has helped my condition in the least. I do not have a problem paying for a product that can help me because someone took time and money to produce it and they need reimbursement. I do have a problem paying for very needy "advice" just so someone can profit from my disease. I am very religious and try to be as Christ-like as I can, which to me means trying to help others (and or heal them) when there is nothing to gain by me. Unless you are destitute and have hungry children to feed then I don't see why you wouldn't want the unparalleled joy of helping another in need. I guess my basic question is.........WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?
Sincerely, Red in the Face

P.S. I did not write this letter so that you would tell me your "secret". I wrote you so you could examine more closely your relationship with The Lord and maybe find it in your heart (through Him) to share your discovery with those that are afflicted.

Reply from: bbarrows@bcn.net

Dear Red in the face: This method I am offering may not help you, and is not a product, it is a service. I still have rosacea and can sympathize with your condition. I clearly state that this method is not a secret nor a miracle cure. This information is available on the National Rosacea Society web page. No one pays any attention to it. This method I have discovered does not cure rosacea, it only helps control it, without using presciptions or products, by avoiding something that triggers rosacea in your diet. You don't need me to figure it out, you can do that yourself, by going on a fast, drinking only water until your rosacea clears up. Then introduce food and drink into your diet until you figure out the culprit. I am offering a service for a fee that is a simple method to control rosacea and can save you some effort required to discover what I did, which is basically offering you a diet that has helped me to control rosacea and may help others with the same condition. I also state clearly that this method while simple, may be difficult for most people because of their eating habits. Furthermore, the offer is refundable if you are dissatisfied. Jesus approved of making an honest profit. There is nothing shady here. I am sending you the method. You do what is in your heart with it. Hope it works for you. ---- Brady Barrows

I was wondering what a rosacea flare up looks like, and how long does it last. I am 19 and have rosacea but have never been a person who has blushed a lot, my dermatologist gave me a sheet with rosacea triggers and told me to find my individual tripwire,i have tried almost all of them to the limit and have yet to see any increase of redness in my face. Also, out of all the triggers, what's the most or least a person can have,is it possible just to have one or maybe not to have one at all? I have rosacia for 14 years and found not much helps. Metrogel creams just burn my face. I found that I had to avoid food high in Acid such as pop, tomatoes, juices, wine, with a good face cream, and drinking lots of water is the only thing I found to help. I drink hot drinks with a lid on the cup. From EMarch@wwwhotmail

Hi I'm 18 years old after a trip to Canada when I was 14 I suddenly got tiny red veins on my face. I thought they were pimples and I treated them accordingly. Obviously it got worse and my face grew red. I saw an ad for Rosacea in a magazine and it was thn I suspected that I had it. I'm so young though so I'm pretty fed up having this for almost 4 years already. I am sick to death of people asking me if I'm sunburnt or why I'm blushing or why my face is so red. It makes me want to scram. No one understands what I'm going though and my ignorant parents think it will pass. My first dermatologist said it wasn'trosacea. My current one says it is roscea/acne. I have been on every blasted type of medication you can imagine from roactutane.. to metro creme to sulphur to differin. My face burns everytime water hits it because it is so tried out and worn. Please help me because I cannot take this anymore!!!!! I cry all the time because I cannot bear to loook at myself in a mirror.

It depends on whether you will avoid eating and drinking certain things. It's up to you. ---Brady Barrows

I am writing on behalf of my mother who has rosacea. She has been wearing foundation by Estee Lauder for years that did not bother her skin. They have discontinued it and she can't find any make-up that she can wear. They all bother her skin. Any suggestions? Thanks Amber

To:Emmosa@aol.com: I sent you the "Simple Method to Control Rosacea" over a month ago and wondered how your were doing with it? Can you send me some feedback, as to whether [*using this method*] in your diet helped? Were you able to take the simple one month test and avoid [*what to avoid*]? I would appreciate any input you have on this method. Thanks... Brady Barrows, webmaster@mumbet.com

Jesus would pray for those who were misguided and hope that they can be saved by the grace of Him. I did not try your solution, but I hope you can find it in your heart to bring this message to others in need to illustrate the real love that we should have for our brothers, especially those that are afflicted. God Bless you, Emmosa

Emmosa: You are confusing a diet with religion. This diet may help people control rosacea. It has worked for me. I am trying to find out if it works with others. It may not. I am trying to gather information, that is all. Of course, you may keep eating [*what to avoid*] if that is your desire since it is not a religious issue and your own personal business. Others might want to try avoiding [*what to avoid*] in their diet to control rosacea to see if it can help control rosacea. If you ever decide to reduce [*what to avoid*] in your diet and find that it does help you, I would greatly appreciate you telling me about it. May God bless you, too.

Thank you very much for your email. I read your notes and being [*edited out*] have stayed away from [*what to avoid*] for many years now. In my case there has been no difference. It must be an individual thing. I would like to share something with you that has really helped me. I use sulfur on my face everynight before bed. You can get MSM at any health food store. Get the cream form. It will really help you. All newer Rosacea medications are now using Sulfur and I find MSM has cleared up my face 80%. From all of my studies I have found the external use of Sulfur to be the most promising. It does not cure Rosacea of course but it truly aids in the control of this terrible skin problem. Just a note. Please try a little at a time until your skin gets used to the Sulfur. I hope this helps you. I think all Rosacea suffers should help each other in anyway they can. Today, I got back from a sulfur spa near my place in Tokyo and it was remarkable for my skin. Sincerely, [name withheld]

Dear [name withheld]: Thanks for the tip on sulpher and MSM. I will try it whenever I eat too much you know what and my small rosacea flare-ups. Some who have sent email to me have indicated that sulpher didn't help them and made their rosacea worse. So, I too agree that rosacea seems to be an individual situation for each person depending on the degree of the rosacea and each person's unique situation. I was wondering about your avoidance of [*what to avoid*] for many years and would like to k
