#1 - Uniqueorn 23 - This has got to be the most unusual...

#2 - This one immediately came to me after I posted this page:

I have not tried this (yet) but I have joined another yahoo group, that claims Rosacea Symptoms can be cured by 100% natural/pure Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother (natural strands in the bottom of container) by internal use and topical use. Have you heard of this or tried it? I would be interested in your opinion. I thought maybe you'd be interested in this weird treatment.

Hi Brady,
Here is the link to the Yahoo Group, That allegedly cures/heals Seborrheic-dematitis and/or Seborrheic-dematitis w/ rosacea.

I have included this as an unusual treatment simply because (1) the posts at this yahoo group are not public. This yahoo group is substantial (1270 members on 4/5/07) so there may be something to this treatment for rosacea (it mentions rosacea on the group home page and a significant number of rosaceans have S-D with their rosacea which is sometimes misdiagnosed as rosacea (2) The group owner is a mystery. And the third (3) reason this is unusual is the name of the group: "seborrheic-dermatitis-support · APPLE CIDER VINEGAR WITH MOTHER" Now these three reasons make this treatment for rosacea unusual. - Webmaster

#3 - Dave Fleming's DMSO Fluconazole
This is unusual since there is so much controversy about this. Read all about it. The way he runs his yahoo group is unusual. I tried it and it does not cure rosacea. It does help reduce pustules and you can read my dairy on this. I am the first to admit that it is unusual for me to try DMSO Fluconazole but I thought, why not try? I did not get any apparent long term side effects from the skin peeling nor do my eyes seem damaged in any way. I have clearly explained what happened in my diary. Some rosaceans try IPL and get some bad results like burning and others have tried ETS (#5 below) knowing beforehand the side effects while everyone thinks nothing of the side effects of either IPL or ETS. The side effects of DMSO Fluconazole are minor in comparison and the prescription for it is legal and ethical just as it is for IPL or ETS. Nevertheless, DMSO Fluconazole is unusual for rosacea.
#4 - Gruber1 - This is unusual mainly because David Pascoe allowed the post and if you read how Gruber1 treats his rosacea at the bottom of the post it could be described as unusual. DP explains in this post why he allowed it on r-s.
#5 - ETS - This is unusual since most rosaceans don't do this and only a handful have tried it. You really need to read all the warnings with ETS before considering it.
#6 - Botox - Not exactly an orthodox treatment for rosacea and very expensive to say the least so it belongs in this list since rosaceans haven't reported much success with this. You should also read my Botox page.
#7 - Change your shoes - This post belongs in this category. If you follow the responses to the post you should appreciate even more why this treatment belongs on this page and enjoy the posts.
#8 - cranberry/blueberry 100% juice
#9 - Urine Therapy - Maybe I should put this one at #1? What do you think?
#10 - 2400 mg of salt per day - Helen - "My perfect cure cost practically nothing but just took some patience. After experimenting with various diets, I found that my rosacea was nothing but a deficiency of sodium chloride--table salt. It took several months on a diet containing at least 2400 mg of salt per day (the minimum daily requirement) to get rid of the worst of the flushing. It took quit some time longer to get red of all the bumps & redness entirely, and I have to stay on a diet containing an adequate amount of salt. " source is the 'What Works to Control Rosacea Database.' and find Helen's post.
#11 - Chantix - More info how to buy
#12 - Cornstarch
