Comments from Users | Zhao Zhongzhou | Ingredients | Demodex Products | Why Zhongzhou? | Demodex Editorial | Recommended Regimen | Clinical Report |

Please note: In my book, Rosacea 101, (published in October 2007) in Chapter 19, Recommended Regimen on page 74, I wrote an updated version based upon what I wrote on this web page on this subject. In this updated verison I list seven steps. This book is basic rosacea knowledge for rosacea newbies who want to learn what the conventional and alternative treatments for rosacea are and covers a comprehensive knowledge of what you should know about this disease. You may read below some of the basic facts that I used to write my updated recommended regimen found in Rosacea 101. You can also view my YouTube video on this subject.

Step 1. I recommend Acarid Soap which you should wash your face with at least twice a day or more, before you apply the next step.
Step 2. I recommend the Zhongzhou Medical Ointment derived from mint and other herbs.
Application is at night, just before going to sleep. Apply a very light application for the first time to see how your skin reacts. The cool menthol mint effect may cause your eyes to tear, so quickly close your eyes and go to sleep. Try to let the Z cream dry before placing your face on your pillow.

In the morning wash your face with Acarid soap. Then apply very light dabs of the Z creme and gently rub into the skin. You may use a little water to help dissolve the Z cream to blend into your skin.

Just before bed apply the Z cream again in the same manner and use the same routine in the morning. If you feel comfortable, you may increase the amount of Z cream.

Step 3. During the day use Xin Fumanling or Jojoba Oil or Rose Hip Oil as a moisturizer and a base before applying cosmetics.

If your skin becomes dry and flakie you will need to apply a moisturizer during the day and Jojoba Oil or Rose Hip Oil should work fine. I also recommend the Xin Fumanling Cosmetic without the Metronidazole. However, you may prefer the Xin Fumanling Cosmetic with 3% Metronidazole. Some have reported that Tea Tree Oil Cream is a good moisturizer and helps rosacea. Neem creams or oils work also. Or just use your favorite moisturizer during the day.

You should notice improvement in your rosacea within two weeks! Some rosaceans report that during the first week their rosacea gets worse which isn't unusual, but by the second week you should see some improvement. As with all topicals, if your rosacea gets noticeably worse during the second week or you get an allergic reaction at any time to any of these products, discontinue use immediately! Every rosacea product carries this warning. Remember the X-Factor. All these products are non prescription.

Step 4. If you suffer from pimples, pustules, or papules, use the Zeno Zit Zapper. This electronic device runs around $200 and is reported to be effective within 24 hours.
Or you may prefer to apply the Fulio Acne Cream, which is an inexpensive solution. The Fulio cream blends into the skin easily and is excellent on ppps.
Step 5. Read the Rosacea Diet book and follow the thirty day diet plan either for vegetarians or omnivores.

The Rosacea Diet will be the most significant improvement to your rosacea you have ever seen.

Remember the X-Factor. There are many other products on this web site to choose from which many rosaceans have reported success. Check the 'What Works to Control Rosacea Database' to see what rosaceans report works for them.

Step 6. Change your lifestyle. Not many health care professionals will tell you this, but you may be surprised how your lifestyle may be an important factor in controlling rosacea. Psychological factors may aggravate your rosacea.
